YouTube is the leader in online video, sharing original videos worldwide through a Web experience. YouTube allows people to easily upload and share video clips across the Internet through websites, mobile devices, blogs, and email. Everyone can watch videos on YouTube. People can see first-hand accounts of current events, find videos about their hobbies and interests, and discover the quirky and unusual. As you can imagine, there are millions of videos on YouTube. If you are advertising a product, service or business opportunity (pay attention Affiliate Marketers), then there are certain tips or "secrets" that you should keep in mind when recording yourself.

YouTube Secret #1

You do not need fancy clothes or a fancy background. In fact, all you need is to *be yourself*. Connect with people by talking one-on-one.

To be effective, your camera must have good audio quality.  You can purchase a flip camera from for nice, tight shots. If you are shooting by yourself, set up a tripod 4-5 ft. and start talking!

Tell them who you are and say it up front! Ask them to follow you on and

Ask for Comments and Embeds.  Sell them to spread the word of your video or blog. This becomes interactive.  For example, ask to comment on your video or blog.

However, people feel they need your permission to embed your video code. At the end of your video, say "before you go, if you like this video please pass it on and use the embed code to share. Thanks for watching!"

Grab a screen shot and put it inside your blog with a clickable link!

Use [video]. For example, it may look like this:[video] or [pic]. You can then tweet this in!

Do a series of videos. Say "I am _____ and doing Part 3 of __. In Part 1, we did this. In Part 2, we did this. And in Part 4, I am doing ____."

When doing a series of videos, take advantage of your link. Ask people "if you like these videos, subscribe to my channel, www._____.

You can change your links and Google will see it as new content. For example, the links in your blog posts, your articles or even your Twitter account! Same with the links in your videos!

Grab your Embed code and drop it into your blog or website.
